The principal of the practice, Richard J. Mazar is a lifelong resident of the Durham Region.  He is a graduate of O’Neill Collegiate in Oshawa, obtained his BSc from the University of Toronto in 1974, his LLB from the University of Ottawa in 1977 and his LLM from the Osgoode Hall Law School in 2007.  He has been an instructor for the Corporate-Commercial section of the Law Clerks Course at Durham College.  He has been an instructor at the Bar Admission Course for Business Law and sat on the accreditation committee for the Bar Admission Course for ten years.  Richard has been a speaker at a number of continuing education programs, construction industry programs and is a published author in the areas of business law.  He has sat on a number of charitable and not-for-profit organizations and remains as counsel for many such organizations.  He has been married for over thirty years to his wife and has two adult children.
